My interests lie in exploring social themes related to the day-to-day struggles of living in Appalachia. Creating visual stories based on history and events I've encountered or have experienced. This region is very unique, with its friendly people and its oppressive poverty both co-existing. I'm currently concentrating on a series that highlights rural farm life, which includes my own family's recent past. Family photos from this time are my muse and lead my creative direction.
