Nichole Westfall was born and raised in a small town in West Virginia to a Korean-American family. She is best known for her large-scale mural work that can be seen throughout the United States. These murals are often joyful, whimsical scenes created with large blocks of color. In contrast, her smaller works are often identity-driven, focusing on the complexities of race and gender. Both works are influenced by a multidisciplinary practice. She currently lives and works in Charleston.
